Born in Tel Aviv. Son of parents from Germany.
Studied at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and International Relations and a master's and doctorate in International Relations.
Held various positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for over 30 years, including Consul General in the United States (Atlanta, previously Consul in Chicago), spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, head of the Israeli Embassy in Turkey, Ambassador to South Africa, and Director General of the Ministries of Economy and Foreign Affairs
.After retiring from civil service, I taught at the Hebrew Universities in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, and at Reichman University in Herzliya and served as a board member and public council member in organizations such as Sikkuy, B'Tselem, and Ir Amim.
For the last 20 years, I have been co-chairman of a Jewish-Arab football club I founded, which has six teams in different leagues of the Football Association.
I am a supporter of the two-state solution and am internationally active for the recognition of Palestine.
