Party Cofounder and Cochair

I was born in Jerusalem into the core of Israeliness. From the first moment of my public recognition, I have been committed to two principles learned from my mentor, Professor Isaiah Leibovitz: struggle against the occupation until it falls and complete separation between religion and state. With this great wind in my sails, I was privileged to reach some of the most important positions in the Israeli and Jewish world.

I left these when it became clear to me that Israel must reboot: in thinking, political assessments, and ideological determination. I have dedicated the last few years to thinking, writing, building networks, and honing the essential definitions for a civil renaissance in Israel. Because Israel has changed beyond recognition. I had the great privilege of being one of the thinkers and founders of the All Its Citizens party. I believe that with patience, determination, and strong values we will succeed in changing the Israeli discourse and offer an exciting alternative to the current political structure. One egalitarian civil party, brave and eloquent, that challenges the entire political system of parties organized mainly around national identity.

And here is my commitment: I swear that I will not rest until the anthem of all the people between the Jordan and the sea will be:

Rejoice, for I’ll have faith in mankind, in its spirit great and bold. And I shall keep faith in the future, though the day be yet unseen, surely it will come when nations all live in blessed peace.
