Waleed Abu Taya
Atty.
Council Member
Walid Abu Tayeh has lived in Jerusalem, Nazareth, Ramallah, and Orlando, USA, as a US citizen.
Walid holds a a master's degree in international law from Columbia University, New York, and has experience in the fields of political science, international relations, economics, taxation, accounting and tax consulting, and tax law and real estate.
I have been a member of several associations and organizations and was a candidate for the Jerusalem City Council as part of the "All Its Residents" list.: In my view, the main issue to be tackled is the creation of "one democratic state" from the river to the sea, a state of "all its citizens." I believe that the two peoples have no choice but to live together in one state because the two-state solution is dead, after having proved impractical and impossible to implement. We need to reach a historic settlement and reconciliation because both peoples have rights, belonging, and cultural, historical, psychological, religious, and ownership ties to the space between the river and the sea.
I look forward to organizing and managing campaigns for the party throughout the country, from the north to the south.
