Yair Dvir
Council Member
My name is Yair Dvir, I'm 36 years old, currently living in Kadita in the Galilee and soon moving to the center.
I'm the lead campaigner at Greenpeace, responsible for environmental campaigns on issues of plastic and fast fashion. I'm also involved in establishing an independent group of environmental activists who oppose the war and occupation.
As part of my role, I conduct research, write position papers, promote legislative proposals, work with government ministries, and manage campaigns on social media and in the media.
In my remaining time, nights and weekends, I'm busy opposing the occupation and creating alternatives in various ways. I spend a lot of time in protective presence in the West Bank, and I'm on the leadership team of the Falahi community - a Palestinian-Israeli community from all over the country that creates shared culture, healing, and raising political awareness.
Recently, I've started taking part in the party's spokesperson committee and writing some of its publications.
I can contribute to the party through my many connections and access to the 25-40 age group of Israeli and Palestinian peace activists from all over the country who can join and contribute to the party.
I would be happy to continue helping with drafting publications, outlining media strategy, and planning field activities, as these are things I've been doing for several years as part of my job.
I speak Arabic at an intermediate level and play the Arabic and Turkish ney (flute). In the picture - I'm released from detention after a demonstration in Al-Makhrour (near Beit Jala).
I believe that full partnership based on equality, freedom, and justice is the only way to true and stable peace and security for all.
