I was born in the village of Peki'in in the Upper Galilee in 1956 and have lived there ever since. After high school, I worked to support myself and my family, building a business that became a large and well-known construction company. I built many public structures throughout the country, especially in the north, allowing me to develop a large social network in the Galilee.
Married and father of five children, two sons and three daughters.
From a young age, I engaged in political activity within the framework of the Hadash party. I acted out of belief in its platform that advocated for peace, justice, and equality between all citizens of the state and with the peoples of the region and for the establishment of two states for two peoples: Israelis and Palestinians. For years I have been socially active with citizens of the region from all communities and of all nationalities. I continue to work for peace and brotherhood between all Israeli citizens and for peace based on equality and justice for Israel, the Palestinian people, and the entire Arab world. I believe peace will be realized one day, if we all want it.
