Dr.

Council Member

Dr. Yeela Raanan, CEO of the Regional Council for the Unrecognized Bedouin Villages (RCUV), and lecturer at Sapir College; resident of Kissufim, in the Gaza envelope.

Justice, peace, and human dignity are the values that guide my life. Every decision and every action is driven by the desire to realize these values between the sea and the river.

The RCUV is an organization of the residents of the villages in the Negev and is led by the elected chairman. I have been active in this organization for over twenty years, understanding that the success of the struggle depends primarily on the community's ability to produce effective and meaningful leadership.

My teaching field in academia focuses on the social approach to the world of economics - in the courses, students acquire tools for involvement in this field, one of the most important in human, state, and world life.

I am active in "Other Voice" in Sderot and the Gaza envelope, Women Wage Peace, and the Parents Circle Families Forum. Additionally, I participate in "Peace Dialogue" workshops, which attempt to create dialogue between leadership from the right and left, and I am also involved in political negotiation training.

The main things I will bring as a council member are the extensive experience I have in joint Arab-Jewish activity, knowledge in the fields of "society and economy." The issue of unrecognized villages and violence in Gaza and on the Gaza border.
