The deliberate killing of journalists and photographers in Gaza will not hide the military's war crimes there.

The Israeli government is not content with imposing a media blockade on what is happening in terms of war crimes in Gaza, and is not content with waging a war against the facts that the world media publishes about what is happening in Gaza, and is not content with waging a war against Israeli media outlets that sometimes publish isolated news from foreign sources about what is happening in Gaza, but has adopted a policy of killing and assassinating journalists and photographers and bombing buildings where Palestinian and foreign press offices are located. The best journalists, reporters, and photographers are selected to be assassinated along with everyone else who is around them or in the building where they live. And this is what happened two days ago with the assassination of journalist Anas al-Sharif, who was bombed along with four other journalists and photographers who were around him, and who had nothing to do with the trumped-up charge attributed to him by the army.
And why do we say “false accusation”? First, because we know from his journalistic activity that we saw with our own eyes that he worked for many years, 24/7, before and during the war, delivering news and images of what is happening in Gaza. Second – and this is another scandal and crime committed by the Israeli army – is the news that was delivered by the Israeli journalist and director Yoav Avraham:
"After October 7th, a team called the 'legitimization cell' was established in the Military Intelligence. Intelligence personnel who sought information that would help to 'legitimize' the military's actions in Gaza – failed Hamas launches, use of human shields, exploitation of the civilian population, you name it. The main task of the legitimacy cell was to find Gazan journalists who could be presented in the media as undercover Hamas operatives. They actively went after journalists and searched. Entire days were spent on the matter – and they didn't find any. Why look for an undercover journalist? As I understand it, because it gives media 'legitimization' to the existing killing of journalists in general." End quote.
More information should be added, this time from Wikipedia:
"Israel has killed more than 215 journalists in Gaza since October 7, 2023, until today."
Correction: The updated number for today, 8/13/2025, is 232 journalists.
