In an interview with Al Jazeera, Mr. Abraham Borg, Chairman of the All Citizens Party, spoke about recent developments in the international arena and in the country, and clearly answered the interviewer's questions.
Al Jazeera summarized the main points from Borg's perspective in the interview as follows:
- He described former Knesset Speaker Benjamin Netanyahu as an "untrustworthy politician" and "one who always lies," and believed that his government was "jealous and untrustworthy."
-He emphasized that the current ceasefire plan relies on credible elements such as Egypt and Qatar, while Netanyahu and Trump represent the elements of "lack of trust" and "unpredictability."
-He believed that the crime committed by Hamas on October 7 and the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza were "two immoral crimes that cannot be justified."
-He interpreted the global protests against Israel as a rejection of the "bloody and unjust" war it is waging, and emphasized the principle of the universality of justice: "What is forbidden to Russia is also forbidden to Israel."
-He defined his vision of peace as a guarantee of equal rights, freedoms, security and dignity for both Israelis and Palestinians "from the river to the sea."
-He called for an end to "nonsense" on both sides and for serious negotiations to begin to save lives, preserve honor, and save the future of both peoples.
-He admitted that those who believe in peace based on equality are a "minority" in Israel, but noted that the majority may seek an alternative after the failure of violent attempts.
-He predicted that Gaza, after the end of the war, would become a "turning point" for both peoples - from a policy of revenge to a culture of hope.
-He expressed doubt about Netanyahu's claim that military pressure was what pushed Hamas to agree, and saw this as part of Netanyahu's method of presenting defeats as achievements.
-Finally, he expressed deep sorrow for the innocent civilians in Gaza and the Israeli prisoners, and called for an end to human suffering.
