Signing of a Political Cooperation Agreement between the “All Its Citizens” Party and the “Arab National Party”

As part of the efforts by the “All Its Citizens” Party to unite forces in order to replace the far-right government in the upcoming elections, and to entrench the principle of Jewish–Arab partnership and equality of rights among all citizens of the state, the signing of a cooperation and force-unification document between the “All Its Citizens” Party and the “Arab National Party” was approved in recent days, with the hope of expanding this trend in the future to include additional parties and organizations. The two parties issued the following joint statement:

Press ReleaseThe “All Its Citizens” Party and the “Arab National Party” signed today a political cooperation agreement to run jointly in the upcoming Knesset elections. The agreement was signed between the “All Its Citizens” Party, led by former Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg and Dr. Warda Saadeh, and the Arab National Party, led by Knesset Member Mohammad Kanaan.

The agreement establishes the creation of a Jewish–Arab civic partnership, based on a full commitment to joint, equal, and sustained action. Both parties view this alliance as a necessary step to strengthen Jewish–Arab political partnership, to increase the influence and representation of Arab society in the Knesset, and to integrate Arab society as a full and equal partner in public life in Israel.

The civic alliance that will compete in the upcoming Knesset elections will be formed according to the principle of full equality—both between Jewish and Arab representatives and between women and men. This principle constitutes a core ethical and political foundation of the new partnership, offering a democratic, civic, and professional alternative to the existing political discourse.

Former Knesset Speaker Avraham Burg and Knesset Member Mohammad Kanaan emphasized that this is an important political launch and a vital civic initiative, extending a hand to all Arab and Jewish political frameworks, civil society organizations, and public figures, with the aim of expanding the alliance and building the broadest possible list. According to them, only a deep and wide civic partnership can present meaningful parliamentary representation and a strong political presence working for the benefit of all citizens of the state.

The joint civic alliance also seeks to appeal to broad segments of the public who are disappointed with the current political system: Jewish voters who have lost faith in parties that are afraid to commit to meaningful political cooperation with Arab parties, as well as many within Arab society who are disappointed with veteran parties that have failed to cooperate among themselves and do not offer a renewed, groundbreaking, and effective alternative to old and weary politics—politics that has thus far failed to realize its goals or change the lived reality of its voters.

The civic partnership aims to advance just and sustainable solutions to the challenges facing Israeli society, out of a commitment to a democratic state that belongs to all its citizens, and based on a vision of full civic equality, shared responsibility, and a shared future.

The two parties are already working to bring in additional parties, civil society organizations, political groups, prominent public figures, and committed grassroots activists to join them on this partnership journey—a journey that will traverse the country and society in length, breadth, and depth, in preparation for the upcoming Knesset elections and as a foundation for building a broad Jewish–Arab civic political force committed to democracy, equality, and partnership..
