We welcome the International Peace Conference at the UN General Assembly, striving for peace instead of wars in our regions.

A message from the All Citizens Party

The international conference hosted by the UN General Assembly in New York opened yesterday and will last two days, initiated by Saudi Arabia and in cooperation with France, under the title "For a peace settlement on the issue of Palestine and the implementation of the two-state solution" - all without the United States expressing any substantial opposition, although it chose not to participate.

Meanwhile in Israel, the cabinet and the “creative” government ministers are busy inventing false solutions to continue the war – such as annexing new parts of the Gaza Strip, reoccupying it and restoring the hated military government, or annexing the occupied West Bank – instead of seeking solutions that include ending the war and embarking on a process that will lead to peace for the country and the entire region. The wars have exhausted themselves, consumed our forces and severely damaged our souls, our economy, our psyche, our education and our morality. The wars have led to the deaths of thousands of Israelis and tens of thousands of Palestinians and have presented Israel to the world as a violent state that commits genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

The word "peace" has disappeared from the lexicon of Israeli politicians and most of the public in the country.

The time has come to draw lessons from the experience of trying to resolve the bloody conflict by force and to understand that without walking the paths of peace, towards a peace agreement, recognizing the Palestinians' right to an independent state alongside Israel, the solution that the UN and many countries of the world officially support - except for Israel.

The All Citizens Party wishes success to the work of the International Peace Conference at the UN General Assembly, and hopes that instead of planning the continuation of wars, occupation, and bloodshed in vain, a new government will be established in Israel that will choose to embark on a political path of negotiations to end the occupation and recognize the Palestinians' right to their own state. It is important that the solution include components that will be agreed upon between the legitimate representatives of the Palestinian people. The All Citizens Party supports a two-state solution, be it a model of two separate states or two states in a confederal or federative structure. All of this is subject to the condition that the solution be reached by mutual consent, partnership, and freedom from control of each other.
