Alon Liel, a council member in "All Its Citizens" and co-chairman of the Hapoel Abu Gosh-Mevaseret Jewish-Arab football club writes about a meeting with the football club in Majdal Shams:
Muhammad Jaber and I held a condolence meeting yesterday at Beit Ha'am in Majdal Shams. Besides the heartbreaking meeting with the heads of the Druze communities and the grieving families, we also met with the heads of the local football clubs, including the coach of Bnei Mamba, Vajedi Kish and the director of the sports department of Majdal Shams (pictured).
Hapoel Abu Gosh-Mevaseret and the Druze football club in the Golan have had a relationship for almost twenty years. In the past, the heads of the club and the players were hosted by us and we even held a friendly match between the clubs. We have promised the leaders of Bnei Mamba to assist as best we can in the recovery of the club from the terrible disaster, and we call on everyone who can help them recover, to lend a shoulder.
