Apparently the only way to free the country held hostage by the government is at the ballot box in the elections, as the current one does not hesitate to use any means while abusing legal authority in the existing regime structure to continue the madness, killing, and horror in order to prolong its life. War and more war without any political horizon.

With no goal or result other than killing and destruction.

The war in Gaza will continue. The killing of innocents will continue. The return of hostages is not possible and is no longer a goal for a government that has taken an entire country hostage and the lives of all its citizens are not continuing as usual. The situation within the country and in the world arena is not as natural as it was.

Killing in Gaza. In the territories, the occupation is at its ugly peak and the fear is of another conflict in the north. Perhaps another round of heavy fighting in southern Lebanon.

This is the reality, and it is likely that the country will go out to vote in the elections amidst the flames.

A voice of outcry and a voice of protest will wait for the ballot box to exercise its right.

Those who do not raise their voices and exercise their right in the elections are in effect choosing to continue the country's captivity at the hands of the existing government.

Wake up and be ready. Otherwise we are all captives.
