Is there an agreement? Is there no agreement?

These are two questions that have been with us for more than a year and a half, and we continue to act as if we don't know the answer.

But the answer is clear all the time, and there is no need to guess: there is no agreement!

This is a fact that we refuse to acknowledge. There is simply no agreement. There was never an agreement.

You don't have to be a political commentator or strategist to understand this.

And it seems that there will be no final agreement that will end the war and Hamas rule.

Why? Because Netanyahu still believes that Hamas is necessary and required on the ground to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.

It is clear that the only possible alternative to Hamas is the Palestinian Authority.

There is no other alternative. Not the Arab states, not the UN, not the United States, not any "local leadership," and certainly not the IDF.

Netanyahu refuses to reach the moment when Hamas is completely defeated militarily, because he knows that this means Gaza will return to the control of the Palestinian Authority.

And what's wrong with the Palestinian Authority?

In the eyes of Netanyahu and the right, the Palestinian Authority is more dangerous to Israel than Hamas.

Ultimately, Hamas is an organization – not a state. It has no international legitimacy, and on the contrary – it represents everything that scares most countries in the world, including Arab countries: an ideological and armed jihadist movement.

In contrast, the Palestinian Authority is the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people according to the UN, enjoys widespread international recognition, and has sympathy and embassies and diplomatic missions in many countries around the world.

The PA is acting wisely and diplomatically, as if it were already an existing state. And if it also controls Gaza, it means that the path to a permanent solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state will be paved.

And is this the end of the world?

Yes – this is the end of Netanyahu's world.

Because under conditions of peace, Netanyahu has no political existence.

In Shalom's reality, the number of his legal cases will increase, perhaps even before a state investigation committee is established.

So what do we do?

There is one thing that could bring down Netanyahu and be the beginning of change:

A broad and strong Jewish-Arab front in the upcoming elections.

Is it possible? Yes – we saw it on Friday in Sakhnin, and we saw the spark even earlier at the "All Its Citizens" conference in Jaffa.

Come on, friends!
