In an interview with the Arab channel “Al-Hala Panorama”, Attorney Mohammad Yahya, Secretary-General of the All Its Citizens party, summarized his response to a question about the Joint List as follows:

Question: Attorney Mohammad Yahya, Secretary-General of the All Its Citizens Party — how do you, within your party framework, view what is happening around the Joint List? We’ve heard about two meetings so far, but things don’t seem to be moving forward.

Answer: We are all in the same boat. There are ongoing efforts to bring about a change in Netanyahu’s government and to increase Arab representation in the Knesset. In the All Its Citizens party, we emphasize and focus on the need for and the vision of Jewish-Arab partnership.

We had hoped that the Joint List would be re-established, and we in All Its Citizens would support such a list. At this stage, our own representation is not what matters; what matters is increasing Arab representation in the Knesset — based on Jewish-Arab partnership, which is the guarantee for genuine representation in the Knesset and possibly in the government in the future.

From this perspective, we can work toward forming a new list based on Jewish-Arab partnership, but it would be preferable for it to be within a renewed and expanded Joint List — one that also includes representatives from the Jewish community, in order to ensure strong and meaningful representation in the Knesset.
