Why Did I Choose to Join "All Its Citizens"?

The young party "All Its Citizens" remained in the right place, at the right time, and with the right value of Jewish-Arab partnership, while the Zionist left-wing parties distanced themselves to another, far-off space, empty of partnership values, abandoning Arab citizens during their most difficult times. All this happened after they succumbed to the success of the right in turning the word "leftist" into a legitimate and accepted insult in Israeli society.

On the other hand, Arab parties have also practically distanced themselves from the issue of Jewish-Arab partnership, contrary to their lofty declarations and foundational principles written on paper, which often advocate partnership only as lip service.

Zionist left-wing parties joined centrist parties, leaning to the right and attempting to appease the right-wing public here and there, instead of fighting against it and defending their values and principles. Meretz, for example, merged with the Labor Party in an attempt to escape the accusation of being part of the left or supporting Arabs, while Yossi Sarid turns in his grave, the same Sarid who once said, "I love Arabs."

Amid these unfortunate circumstances, the party "All Its Citizens" emerged on the horizon, advocating partnership and carrying the hope of correcting the course, opening dialogue with friendly parties, and bringing the just struggle back to its proper path, for the benefit of both communities – Jewish and Arab.

This is the party I chose as my political home: a party where partnership is not a slogan to be hung on the wall, not a statement to beautify positions, and not a slogan to attract votes, but a field activity and a point of foundation from which all its actions, positions, and political life emerge. And it is not only about partnership, but also equality and peace.
